Arlington Cultural Affairs is working with public art and placemaking firm Graham Projects to design a future temporary outdoor arts space at 2700 South Nelson Street. An open, flexible space is planned for the site, which will be constructed following the planned demolition of the existing building. Over the Spring and Summer of 2022 the Graham Projects design team and Arlington County officials engaged nearly 400 participants through varied outreach strategies. Click here to download the community engagement report. Based on the needs and ideas shared by community stakeholders, the artists and designers at Graham Projects have created the following two design concepts. Share your feedback to shape the future creative open space at 2700 S Nelson.
Note: These design concepts are not final. The final design will be informed by public feedback submitted through this web page and additional technical review.
